1001 Start Up Accelerators

At an in-person accelerator, we gather leaders who are at the beginning stages of their New Worshiping Community (including those who have not yet started) in a beautiful setting with seasoned facilitators over the course of four days to do some intensive learning on how to start and sustain your community. Although we cannot learn everything over the course of our time together, the hope is to get you started on the right path for starting and to begin to build relational support within the 1001 community with both seasoned leaders who serve as guides for our time together and with other participants who are starting or are dreaming of starting new worshiping communities as well.

The goals of the online accelerator are similar to the in-person accelerator, but the pace and location is different. Our online accelerator cohort meets in sessions of 90 minutes over 6 weeks with two skilled facilitators who guide conversations based on video teachings.

1001 covers the cost of the program, and room and board for in-person accelerators. Participants need only to cover the cost of travel for an in-person event.

Assessments, coaching, and training are all necessary contributing factors to the health and sustainability of both the community and its leaders. The accelerator training provides a time for the leaders to build their tool kits to help their communities thrive.

Please register for the first available accelerator you will be able to attend. So long as you are registered for a future accelerator, we will consider the grant requirement met, and take it in a good faith that you will follow through and attend.

The in-person accelerator provides a richer experience, both in learning and in relationship, so it is strongly encouraged that a new worshiping community leader (or potential leader) attend an in-person event. The online accelerator provides a way for those that cannot travel to be able to experience the accelerator and may also give opportunity to expand reflection on the learnings over time.

Both the accelerator and the apprenticeship satisfy the requirements for training for the investment grant, so leaders do not have to participate in both. There are, however, leaders who have found value in participating in both programs.
